Personal Injury & Insurance Disputes

Ammar brings his diverse life experiences to better serve our clients. Giving back to the community and seeking justice for clients are important to Ammar.

Ammar Hussein is originally from Newmarket, Ontario. He attended York University earning an Honours Degree in Political Science. After graduating from York, he escaped the cold Canadian winters, going to law school in Florida. He graduated law school in 2012 and returned to Ontario. He completed his articling with a personal injury focused law firm in Toronto. Ammar was looking to develop and grow his practice in a smaller community and he joined Bonn Law after his call to the bar in January 2014.

During his university years, Ammar was an active member of the student body where he founded the Canadian American Law Society and was a member of the volunteer immigrant rights association and sports law society. In addition, Ammar interned at the Public Defender’s Office for the 4th Judicial Circuit, Felony Division. From these experiences, Ammar has developed a passion for advocating on behalf of injured plaintiffs who have been harmed by the negligent and/or intentional acts of others.

“A person's most useful asset is not a head full of knowledge but a heart full of love, an ear ready to listen and a hand willing to help others.”

Before going to law school, Ammar was selected to participate in a State Building and Development Administration project where he travelled to the Middle East to assist in the establishment of a Public Administration program at Jerusalem University. During his undergraduate degree, Ammar worked as a taxi cab driver, an experience he credits his commitment to excellent client relations to.

He volunteers his time as a board member of the Hastings County Law Association and is a member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association. Ammar has appeared in the Superior Court of Justice and Small Claims Court advocating on behalf of the injured. When not in the office, Ammar enjoys kicking the ball around the soccer pitch or playing a game of hockey.

Further to his responsibility to his clients, his activities away from the office and his community ventures, Ammar occasionally shares his thoughts and analysis on the Bonn Law Blawg.
