James Lisowski

James was born and raised in Belleville, Ontario. He was an Inaugural class graduate in 2016 of the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Eager to practice, James was called to the bar in the fall of 2016 after completing his placement with a poverty law clinic in Thunder Bay. James primarily practiced criminal law in Thunder Bay but also gained experience with the residential tenancies act, provincial offences, and the social benefits tribunal. Through his work with the Indigenous Peoples Court in Thunder Bay and fly-in circuit courts around the area, James earned significant experience and insight with his indigenous clients.

James moved back to Southern Ontario in 2018 where he has continued practicing Criminal Law. His mandate is to make the Canadian legal system accessible for every client and ensure they understand the process every step of the way and feel confident through their representation.

James joined Bonn Law in 2024 where he continues to provide compassionate service and effective advocacy for his clients.
